Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the organization’s economic research agenda, including macroeconomic, microeconomic, and sectoral analysis.
- Analyze economic trends, market conditions, and policy developments to provide strategic insights and forecasts.
- Prepare and present reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Advise on the potential economic impact of proposed policies, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and interpret economic data and indicators to identify opportunities and risks for the organization.
- Lead and mentor a team of economists and researchers, ensuring high-quality analysis and research outputs.
- Collaborate with other departments and external experts to integrate economic insights into organizational planning and decision-making.
- Represent the organization in public forums, conferences, and media engagements as a subject matter expert on economic issues.
- Stay informed about global economic developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to provide relevant and timely advice.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all economic analyses and forecasts.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in economic research, analysis, and policy development, with a track record of leadership in similar roles.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in economic modeling and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex economic concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team of economists and researchers.
- In-depth knowledge of economic theory, policy, and industry-specific issues.
- Proficiency in econometrics software and data analysis tools.
