Our client is a healthcare technology company with a medication management platform that empowers patients to seamlessly manage their treatment journey. They have over 13 million registered patients worldwide, and partner with healthcare organizations across the healthcare ecosystem to design treatment-based programs for patients, delivering proven results. They are currently looking for a Chief Financial Officer in the Boston area to join their team.



Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Chief Financial Officer will partner with the Company’s CEO and Board of Director to drive the company to its next growth level. The CFO will own the financial plan and milestones. This function is also an integral contributor to the wider strategic revenue management and development of the business. They partner closely with the CEO and executive team on structuring key partner contracts, relationships and participate in investment / M&A activities.


The CFO oversees the overall finance function including procedures, processes, structure and strategy for all financial planning and analysis, accounting functions and senior level communication, and also owns Legal and HR (VP’s in place). They will maintain a financial infrastructure that will enable faster and easier access to the current state of the business as well as measuring leading indicators.



What you will do in this role:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Team and a collaborative member to leadership throughout the company. Actively participate in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plan to advance the company’s growth, profitability, and balance sheet objectives. Provide guidance and assistance in identifying key drivers to financial and business success.
  • Responsible for the Company’s overall financial health; develop recommendations for how to best invest in the company's future growth, taking into consideration the business strategy, risk, and liquidity.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing investors to attract and best position the company for the next round of capital; assessing and recommending the most effective ways the company can raise additional capital.
  • Lead the financial planning process and link the Company’s strategic objectives to target financial performance; develop a strategically driven multi-year financial plan.
  • Oversee the full range of accounting functions, including strong understanding of GAAP, preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Evolve and maintain appropriate financial planning and analysis for budgeting, rolling forecasts, KPIs, trends and value creation.
  • Lead, manage, mentor and build a strong Finance Team; including capabilities to support growth and a high-performance culture.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, influence and interact with the broader organization, leadership team, Board and investors as well as a sensitivity to fit into the entrepreneurial culture.



Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of success as a strategic Finance leader in a high growth technology company.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Accounting & Finance leadership, with experience overseeing the full range of accounting functions; including strong understanding of GAAP, preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  • Deep experience in managing the FP&A function, as well as developing and managing budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning within a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Preferred experience as a Finance Leader in a company that has a SaaS revenue model, preferably in the Healthcare market.
  • Proven track record in successfully evaluating, building, mentoring and managing high performing accounting & finance, legal and HR teams.
  • Experience assessing, implementing and iterating on financial processes, controls and implementing new technology tools that will give the business stronger visibility into real-time KPIs that reflect the current state of the business as well as leading indicators.
  • Experience partnering with the leadership team to build a repeatable and standardized contract /process to assess profitability and streamline the negotiation process
  • Preferred experience working within a Digital Health company, with experience in revenue cycle management and the complexities of billing/insurance reimbursement workflows.
  • Fundraising experience; success in raising capital, working with investors, banks and partners.
  • Preferred experience in Investment Banking or Consulting background.
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues.
