Job Title: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) - DTC E-Commerce Brand

We are recruiting firm representing a fast-growing DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) E-Commerce brand focused on delivering exceptional products and experiences to our customers. As we continue to scale, we’re seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts and take our brand to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth, enhancing customer engagement, and building robust marketing strategies within the e-commerce space.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Growth:

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across marketing, e-commerce operations, and customer experience to optimize user engagement and streamline operations.
  • Oversee the management of our e-commerce platforms (websites, mobile apps) with a focus on scaling, enhancing UX, and driving revenue growth in 8-figure ARR businesses.
  • Spearhead strategies that drive significant growth, with a target of 40% year-over-year increase.


Team Leadership and OKRs:

  • Manage and develop a department of 20+ in collaboration with product management, development, CX, and logistics teams.
  • Utilize frameworks such as RACI to enhance team effectiveness, improving OKR achievement rates by 40%.


Strategic Roadmap and Online Sales:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap focusing on localization, merchandising, and personalized marketing to boost customer engagement by 45%.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives to optimize UX and user journeys, ultimately tripling conversion rates.


Retention and Churn Reduction:

  • Design and implement customer engagement frameworks to reduce churn by 30% within 18 months.
  • Deploy strategies including cancellation barriers, single-click reactivation, and personalized incentives to enhance retention.


Media Buying:

  • Lead media buying efforts with significant monthly ad spend, successfully scaling budgets during peak seasons while maintaining efficiency.
  • Utilize key ad platforms including Google Ads (PMAX), Meta (ASC), and TikTok to achieve a 35% reduction in blended CAC.


Content Strategy:

  • Develop and execute user-generated content (UGC) strategies on Meta and TikTok to effectively target diverse audiences.
  • Implement creative framework testing that improves cost-per-acquisition (CPA) and increases click-through rate (CTR) by 30%.


SEO and SEM Strategies:

  • Leverage AI tools and platforms such as Feedonomics for SEO enhancement and catalog data feed cleansing, driving a 50% increase in organic traffic and a 20% improvement in catalog ad conversions.
  • Ensure consistent first-page search rankings through effective SEO strategies.


Customer Experience (CX):

  • Lead and enhance a customer experience team, incorporating AI-driven tools to achieve a CSAT score of 4.8.
  • Decrease first response time (FRT) to under 1 minute and overall response time (RT) to under 1 hour.
  • Innovate by integrating CX as a nurture channel to drive additional revenue.


Tech Innovation and API Solutions:

  • Champion the adoption of headless architecture and AI-driven tools for faster page building and improved site agility.
  • Develop and integrate cutting-edge API solutions with third-party vendors, enhancing user experience, acquisition, and retention while minimizing operational complexity.


Agile Development:

  • Collaborate with product and tech teams to manage agile workflows, reducing bugs, enhancing development efficiency, and ensuring rapid feature releases.
  • Oversee development sprints, user stories, and automated QA processes to streamline the delivery of new features.


Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, 10+ highly preferred
  • 3+ years experience as the lead marketing operator on 10M+ annaul revenue DTC brand
  • Demonstrated success in scaling e-commerce platforms and driving significant growth in ARR.
  • Strong background in cross-functional leadership, including collaboration with product, development, logistics, and customer experience teams.
  • Expertise in media buying, content strategy, SEO, SEM, and customer retention strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven tools, headless architecture, and advanced API integrations.
  • A data-driven mindset with a strong focus on optimizing performance through A/B testing and agile methodologies.
