Base pay range

$30.58/hr - $35.98/hr
Overview

Expected pay for this position is $30.58 - $35.98/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The CHOI Teacher autonomously leads educational instruction efforts and serves as a daily teacher for students/patients age 5 – 18 (3-21 if have IEP or other special education service needs). Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient support that is appropriate to the ages and developmental needs of the patients served. Responsible for adapting to multiple educational systems and plans to assist the student/patient.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Licenses/Certifications: PROFED-Professional Educator
  • Experience: 7 years' experience teaching a variety of student ages in a professional capacity (examples: School, Clinical Educator, etc.)
  • 3 years' experience teaching students with special needs and participating in 504/IEP processes

Other Skills/knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

  • Education: Master's Degree or Masters plus
