From concept through post, we are a full-service studio, home to animators, designers, editors, cinematographers, directors, writers, producers, storytellers, funny people who make each other laugh and are buddies. Responsibilities
This position documents the Chicago Blackhawks brand using best practices in sports production and serves as a team cinematographer and editor
Primary focus in supporting Chicago Blackhawks productions and post-productions including documentary storytelling, gameday coverage from player arrivals to postgame player and coach media availability, in-game videoboard content, event recaps, organic and paid social videos, long-form and short-form features, marketing and ticket sales pieces, and any other branded video content as needed
This position possesses the technical knowledge and skill required to produce, capture, edit and distribute content across all Chicago Blackhawks channels including the team website, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok
Candidate should be proficient with all social media platforms
Candidate should have strong knowledge of Chicago Blackhawks team news, information and history
Must demonstrate the ability to contribute high-level creative for narrative and social storytelling purposes
Responsible for operating and maintaining Banner-issued production equipment
Develop and maintain creative quality and consistency across all work
Raise the bar creatively, delivering best-in-class video that exceeds the expectations of our clients
Ability to capture stories independently from a director and crew
Work with internal and external stakeholders collaboratively to make each project the best it can be
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Lend experience to executing new and innovative production and editorial approaches
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in a professional video production setting
Well-versed and experienced in all facets of video production
In-depth knowledge of production equipment, including digital cinema cameras, lenses and lighting setups
In-depth knowledge of digital editing platforms
Required to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Must be flexible to travel for assignments
Stay ahead of trends and push creative direction toward emerging styles
Proactive self-starter and problem solver with excellent organization skills
Possess professionalism to respond positively to criticism and creative suggestions
Possess a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Capable of interacting with senior leadership
Experience in sports is a plus
