Position Overview
As a Civil or Environmental Engineering Specialist, you'll be part of a team that truly matters to millions. You'll work within one of Philadelphia's vital municipal services departments—be it the Streets Department or the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD). Your role will span a variety of engineering tasks such as planning, developing, and evaluating projects that range from bridges to water facilities, traffic flow, and more. Lead complex engineering projects, shaping the future of urban living in one of the nation's top 10 cities
Analyze existing systems for improvements, leveraging modern methods and technology
Keep up with the latest engineering developments in your specialty
Recommend equipment and engineering processes
Coordinate across engineering disciplines for comprehensive project planning and execution
Work on design, research, evaluation, and construction projects
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field
3 years of civil engineering experience
Knowledge of engineering theory, principles, and modern methods
Understanding of local and federal regulations

Reside within city limits or willing to relocate within the first year of employment

Salary: $69,120 to $88,861 per year
