Job Summary:

The Engineer IV - Program Management Engineer applies extensive engineering knowledge to lead and manage complex projects for transportation agencies. This role involves overseeing project execution from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Lead large-scale transportation agency projects, managing budgets, schedules, and project status.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor multiple projects concurrently, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with transportation agency project managers and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of industry developments to recommend program enhancements and ensure effective project execution.


Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in electronic communication and standard office applications.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating multiple engineering assignments concurrently.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in program management or related field.


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Understanding of construction and project financing within transportation agencies.
  • Engagement in continuous learning to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.


Additional Qualifications, Certifications, Etc.:

  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or equivalent certification.
  • Active involvement in professional organizations and committees related to transportation.
