Selectek is partnering with a company near Columbia, South Carolina to find a qualified Civil Engineer. This firm focuses on large-scale projects, and potential candidates will be heavily involved in the land development portion of the process for commercial sites.
Employment Type: Contract to Direct
Location: Columbia, SC
Expected Pay Range: $31.00-$37.00 per hour before conversion
This highly-regarded company works on projects around the world and is seeking candidates in multiple office locations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
2+ years of experience with site and land development including layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control in commercial markets.
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Ideal candidates hold EIT certification and have experience with Civil3D
In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Duties:
Support commercial developments
Create site development construction documents (CDs) for layout, grading, water, sewer and storm drainage
Perform storm water and sanitary sewer design calculation packages
Apply design fundamentals to total systems or sub-systems
Interpret and use topographic information
Review existing utilities and grading information on as-recorded documents
Travel to job sites as required
Work under technical supervisors who will check progress and review work on completion
