Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent and 48 college credits are required.
Experience with children with autism and attending to their personal needs is preferred.
First Aid certification/training preferred.

Essential Job Functions
Residency Requirements City of Pittsburgh Residency Required
Assists in transportation of students.
Keeps records and works with bulletin boards.
Assists on field trips.
Assists in the preparation, maintenance, scheduling, and operation of audio/visual equipment and materials.
Assists in keeping children clean.
Prepares rooms for receiving students and end of day cleanup.
Works with students on independent assignment as directed by the teacher.
Assists teachers and students in various day to day classroom tasks.
Helps students with toilet needs.
Prepares lunch for students and feeds students when necessary.
Assists in the physical movement of students when necessary.
Participates in community based instructional activities.
Additional Job Information
Physical Demands: This position is primarily sedentary in nature. Employee will be required to operate computer system for data entry, and have the ability to complete necessary paperwork. This position requires minimum physical effort and not subjected to Occupational Health and Safety risks.
