Overview
The Clinic Administrator III at St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital is a vital leadership role responsible for the operational management, personnel oversight, and financial performance of a multidisciplinary team. This team includes 6 physicians, 4 nurse practitioners, and more than 30 additional team members including child life specialists, clinical research coordinators and specialists, clinical and clerical supervisors, a social worker, and a clinical pharmacist.

The Clinic Administrator III at St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital is a vital leadership role responsible for the operational management, personnel oversight, and financial performance of a multidisciplinary team. This team includes 6 physicians, 4 nurse practitioners, and more than 30 additional team members including child life specialists, clinical research coordinators and specialists, clinical and clerical supervisors, a social worker, and a clinical pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Partner with medical directors and senior leaders to manage and lead the clinic team, to ensure clinical quality and safety with efficient operations, and financial performance.
- Programmatic Growth: Co-lead initiatives that align with the clinic's strategic plan to support its growth and development.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with clinical and clerical supervisors, and operational finance teams to extract and analyze data from enterprise systems to support short and long-term initiatives.
- Collaboration with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: Work closely with the leadership team to optimize clinical care for our pediatric hematology and pediatric oncology patient. Focus areas include patient access, diagnosis and treatment, communication and patient education, and transitions of care.
- Management and Supervision: Oversee all functions and activities related to the operations of physician practices.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience in practice management with a high level of complexity.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with healthcare operational systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
- Experience: Five years of leadership experience with two-plus years of practice manager experience, required.
- Additional Skills Required: Knowledge of health care administration and clinic philosophy and policies and operating procedures. Knowledge of fiscal management systems and techniques. Knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision and staff development. Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements. Knowledge of computer systems and applications. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, decision making. Demonstrates strong leadership skills and develops and maintains skill in organizing work to achieve clinic goals and objectives. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports. Ability to monitor quality control standards. Ability to communicate clearly.
