Pharmacist

Pride Healthcare is assisting a top healthcare organization to identify the right person to fill a Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacist opening.

Responsibilities:

• Process member prescriptions/prior authorizations through various computer systems
• Receive phone calls from prior authorization pharmacy techs and/or providers for clinical information
• Interpret clinical guideline criteria, and render/review coverage determination for prior authorization cases
• Consult with pharmacy technicians and/or physicians regarding use of medications and advise of appropriate formulary alternatives when requested.
• Gather complex clinical information, coverage policy and criteria information and work within regulatory guidelines to make coverage determinations
• Perform all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Doctorate of Pharmacy
• Must have active state Pharmacist License and reside in one of the following states: Oregon, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado
• Must have home internet access/VPN (internet can be hard wired with Ethernet cord)
• Must also have a secure workspace/office at home
• Must have working knowledge of PC operating systems
• Excellent Attendance is a must!

Additional Details:

• Fully remote Contract to Hire position.
• 4 weeks of training, 8am-5pm PST Monday- Friday. This training time is subject to change.
• Shift after training is an 8hr shift with 1hr lunch. Must be available as early as 5am and as late as midnight, however shift will most likely be 10:30a-7p PST (subject to change.)
• Will work 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s).
• Scheduled Overtime and working on Holidays. Dependent on business needs, candidate could work up to 4 hours a day OT.
• Salary range is based upon location.
