About the Team:

The Cluster FP&A Manager will be an integral member of the North America Finance team reporting directly to the North America (NAM) Director of FP&A. This critical thinker will be on a team responsible for understanding the full P&L while also partnering closely with the Marketing teams to proactively manage one of the largest line items in the NAM P&L.

One of the main focuses will be to communicate a clear picture of the Marketing spend while understanding the intricacies of their budget and actuals. This position has ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and full P&L month end results delivering actionable insights to drive business performance in the cluster.

Your Role as a FP&A Manager :

  • Understand the full NAM P&L while having ownership of OPEX and the Marketing P&L for USA, Canada and the Caribbean
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with Marketing leaders to build, forecast, and drive accountability for the entirety of their spend while helping them execute their strategic goals
  • Partner with Marketing team to understand initiatives for incremental spend and ROI structure
  • Partner with the cost center heads on their forecasted spend, challenge cost and map spend to the P&L.
  • Oversee the plan and actual for head office expenses including FTEs and salary cost.
  • Closely align with global marketing team on strategy, targets and initiatives.
  • Perform the necessary duties to close the financial books on a monthly basis: Data mining to understand drivers in variances, work hand-in-hand with accounting, perform necessary OPEX accruals, collaborate with P&L owners for variance commentary
  • Lead the creating, updating and submitting of forecast and budgeting templates whilst working with P&L owners to understand their submissions and challenge assumptions with data
  • Analyse financial and operational results through challenging the status quo to understand and deliver on performance KPIs
  • Review procedures developing recommendations on how to improve P&L management and processes in place
  • Revamp the POSM process including reporting, tracking of actual spend, planning and forecasting
  • Contribute to monthly financial reporting packages, budget analysis, forecasts, commentary to global
  • Oversee the financial side of the loyalty program, calculate and communicate the impact of the loyalty program on overall NAM P&L and the specific channels and markets


What is needed to succeed:

  • 4-6 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance Required
  • Comfortable with basics of accounting: accruals, reversals, journal entries
  • Retail or Marketing experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Hyperion, AX, Basware, SAP, Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate results to audience
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally


NYC Salary : $130,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience
