Summary
Sets up and operates different types of computer numerical control (CNC) machines, which are used to make metal tools and parts. They ensure that the machines are operating correctly and that pieces are cut to specifications. Performs maintenance on the machines and replace dull or aged parts as necessary. Familiar with Fadel Control, Fanuc Control, and Liner pallet system Doosan Machines.
Essential Responsibilities
This job will be performed in a Manufacturing Environment.
Must be able to work overtime
Must wear safety protective equipment as required
Physical – Must be able to manipulate parts weighing up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.

Sets up and operates different types of computer numerical control (CNC) machines, which are used to make metal tools and parts. They ensure that the machines are operating correctly and that pieces are cut to specifications. Performs maintenance on the machines and replace dull or aged parts as necessary. Familiar with Fadel Control, Fanuc Control, and Liner pallet system Doosan Machines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Edits programming as necessary.
- Sets up different type of machines, such as 3, or 4 axes and 5 axes, with different controls
- Reads and interprets aerospace blueprints to machine parts to specifications.
- Adjusts tool and work off sets, as necessary.
- Inspects the first article part.
- Uses different types of measurement tools such as calipers, indicators, micrometers, height gauges, and etc.
- Responsible for supporting and ensuring compliance to ISO 9002/AS9100 Quality management systems.
- Understands SPC process and in process inspection system are required.
- Five years minimum of machining experience required plus minimum 2 years performing set ups.
- Knowledge with GD&T (Geometric dimensions & tolerance), speeds and feeds.
- Your own set of tools required
- Familiarity with G&M codes
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Certifications or trade school training is a plus!
- Forging Experience is a plus!
- Works with minimum supervision.
- Able to work in fast pace environmental and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively to managers or employees.
- Contributes to a positive work environment.
