In this role, you'll evaluate, select, and price commercial accounts, managing relationships with independent agents to help us achieve our profitability and growth goals. We're seeking someone with a proven track record of success in managing a profitable book of business within the independent insurance agency system. Strong relationship management, communication, and organizational skills are key, as well as proficiency in using technology. Insurance designations are a plus.
Responsibilities
Manage a territory of independent agents to ensure our profitability and growth targets are met.
Review new business applications to assess risk levels and decide on acceptance or declination based on our underwriting policies.
Maintain a profitable book of business by applying sound underwriting judgment and technical skills, while continuing your professional development to meet company goals.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of underwriting experience, including at least 3 years in commercial lines.
Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through insurance designations (e.g., CPCU, ARM, PLU).
Bachelor's Degree in Insurance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
