The Product Specialist is a partner, liaison and field sales team resource through product knowledge and resourcefulness. Also responsible for development of actionable, field facing materials which enables the field sales teams to drive growth in key categories through data-driven insights across product information, pricing & promotion, market share, category trends.
This position will serve our Commercial Water team and will be 100% remote but will require flexibility across US time zones.
Responsibilities
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and insights
Data gathering activities include conduct market research, track market trends, sales team and/or customer engagement, monitor regulatory changes or trends, and gathering field intelligence
Development of field facing materials such as pitch decks and competitive product analyses inclusive of pricing/promotion
Present insights to field and product teams and other internal stakeholders
Provide a ready knowledge resource for each and all BU commercial products in a single source.
Partner with product category and marketing team for New Product Introduction to ensure sales teams are armed with key selling materials, forecasting new products and phase-in/phase-out, and in general, actively participates in overall product strategy, development, and training for new products through collection of field inputs and product development opportunities, and attendance in new product gate reviews
Assists with technical information in the development of Commercial application
Responsible for 3PL stocking strategies
Fielding questions from field partners and actively manage weekly meeting across process partners (Quality, manufacturing, engineering, product teams) to find resolution/resources for field team
Attend industry tradeshows as a brand ambassador as needed
Special projects as needed
Qualifications
Four year college or university program certificate and two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years experience in partnering with Sales, Sales Support or Sales Enablement experience
Technical skills related to commercial water heating or plumbing related field
Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
Mathematical capabilities include ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Demonstrated strong creation of presentation materials utilizing insights (Google, PowerPoint, or similar)
Demonstrated strong communication skills to all levels of the organization (verbal, written, or digital delivery)
Experience in gathering market intelligence such as voice of internal and external customers, market trends to understand needs and gaps and define problems
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment
Must be capable of travel up to 25%, but during tradeshow season may be up to 50%
The Pay scale of this role based in Colorado and Washington is $62,100 - $99,400. The pay scale for this position in California, New York City, New York or Connecticut is $67,100 - $107,400. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
