The Opportunity:

We are partnering with a leading global consulting firm to fill a critical Commercial Transactions Counsel role. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney looking to lead a team of paralegals handling NDAs, ancillary contracts, and other commercial agreements. The selected candidate will act as the escalation point for complex matters and collaborate with senior lawyers on multijurisdictional legal issues. This role will begin in October 2024, with the possibility of a permanent conversion based on performance.


Key Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • 5+ years of experience in transactional law, including contract drafting and negotiations.
  • Proven ability to handle large volumes of contracts, including NDAs and other commercial agreements.
  • Experience leading or overseeing paralegal teams is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to manage escalations and provide clear legal guidance.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee a team of paralegals handling high-volume NDAs and contracts, ensuring smooth workflows and timely execution.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex contract issues, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Draft and negotiate NDAs, event agreements, and non-reliance letters, particularly in M&A and private equity contexts.
  • Collaborate with senior lawyers and assist in refining playbooks to improve contract management processes.


Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience, plus full benefits (health, 401k with match, PTO, paid holidays, etc.).


Assignment Details:

  • Location: Hybrid, based in either New York City or Tampa.
  • Duration: Secondment period (3-6 months) beginning in October 2024, with the potential for permanent full-time employee conversion.
  • Client: A global leader in professional services known for helping companies manage and overcome financial, operational, and legal challenges.
