POSITION OVERVIEW
CIFC’s Legal and Compliance team is seeking a junior professional to collaborate closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to provide generalist compliance support. This position presents an opportunity to work in an extremely fast-paced environment on a broad range of matters pertinent to the firm’s regulatory compliance program. This position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, who prioritizes learning, professional development and visibility within the firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle incoming KYC requests from trading counterparties and service providers
- Support the implementation of various policies and procedures related to private information (i.e., updating databases and monitoring expert network calls)
- Assist with oversight of the firm’s code of ethics (i.e., personal trading, and gifts & entertainment)
- Assist with regulatory filings
- Provide support with compliance testing/monitoring
- Assist with ad hoc projects
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
- Undergraduate degree with an excellent academic record
- Demonstrated interest in compliance or the broader financial services industry is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mature, confident and polished individual with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work diligently, multi-task and prioritize appropriately in an environment of short deadlines with expectations of accuracy and efficiency
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong follow-up
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities
- Self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to master new tasks quickly
- Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000/year total
