Roles And Responsibilities
- Compliance Program Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs, policies, and procedures based on regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and audits to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to establish compliance goals and strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to our business operations.
- Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX, etc.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and provide guidance to ensure adherence across departments.
- Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify compliance risks and vulnerabilities through risk assessments and analysis.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to address identified compliance issues.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures to senior management.
- Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to enhance awareness of regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters and best practices.
- Internal Investigations and Reporting:
- Conduct internal investigations of compliance issues, incidents, or breaches as needed.
- Prepare and submit reports on compliance activities, findings, and recommendations to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
- Vendor and Third-Party Compliance:
- Evaluate and monitor compliance of vendors and third-party service providers with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Compliance, or a related field (advanced degree or certification such as CCEP, CCEP-I, or similar preferred).
- Proven experience in compliance management, regulatory affairs, or a related field, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and their application to business operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.
