Compliance Specialist II

Overview

Supports the Legal/Regulatory Department across several AmTrust offices. Assists with regulatory and compliance, product development, and. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit filings via SERFF for new and amended filings.
  • Perform regulatory compliance reviews of Specialty Risk client forms which include but not limited to vehicles, consumer and home service contracts.
  • Update and maintain record of service contracts that have undergone review & approval.
  • Update and maintain internal regulatory reference guides.
  • Communicate regulatory issues to internal stakeholders and work collaboratively to develop solutions for new business opportunities.
  • Review and research compliance regulatory issues.
  • Keeps current with market trends and demands.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, SERFF, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure.
  • Quick learner with a strong desire to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.

Preferred

  • Minimum of 2+ years of corporate regulatory compliance experience
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance issues and state insurance law in the US and Canada

Knowledge of extended warranty business and related product filings
