Compounding Technician Job Description

We are JustFoodForDogs, and our passion is to help give all animals ‘More life. More years. More love’. This is especially true with our Customs Diet Department, where we create customized diets for specials needs pets that have no other options. You will be an integral part of the health and wellbeing of pets depend on these diets.

Duties

The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, organized, and a good team player. This candidate must be comfortable with a fast-paced environment. The position is to assist the custom department with duties including but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

• Nutrient Compounding
  
  

oCreating custom nutrient blends for kitchen/custom DIY kits following the given recipe

oMeasuring oils for kitchen following the given recipe

oCreating nutrient blend for seasonal diets following the given recipe

• Facilitate Shipping of Custom Diets
  
  

oWeekly shipping of custom made fresh frozen diets

oManage inventory of shipping materials including ordering of shipping supplies

Dry ice, shipping containers, etc

• Processing orders & customer service
  
  

oHelp customers place orders

oOrganizing orders for the week

oSending reminder emails to customers to reorder

oHelp customers go through the ordering process, trouble shoot common questions that customers have.

• Generating shipping labels
  
  

oCreate labels for custom meals

oCreate shipping labels for custom DIY Kits and custom orders

• Organizing custom shipping orders
  
  

oEnsuring all packages are sealed and correctly labeled

oEnsuring there are the correct number of packages

oOrganizing all custom orders

oMatching shipping labels to custom orders

• Tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  
  

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and customer service skills; Animal science or pharmacy compounding experience a plus
• Passion to make a difference in the health and lives of dogs and cats
• Attention to detail; ability to conduct repetitive tasks with quality
• Strong time management and organization skills
• Basic computer literacy like familiarity with MS Office
• Able to lift 50 lbs
