Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator

Position Overview

Oversees all aspects of the admission process for concurrent students. Works directly with area high school staff to manage enrollment and advising for the Early College Program as well as courses taught on the high school campuses. Also manages traditional concurrent student admission process. Ensures adherence of Oklahoma State Regents of Higher Education (OSRHE) and institutional policies and practices. Resolves issues with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with other functional areas within Enrollment and Student Success to ensure service is aligned with divisional and institutional goals.

This position is 30hrs per week with full benefits.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions

Manages the Early College program cohorts serving as the liaison to the Edmond School District. Manages the processing of concurrent applications for admission and enrollment; corresponds with prospects, students, parents and high school staff concerning admission. Advises the Early College Program students and communicates regularly with faculty to ensure students are on track.

Manages courses taught on area high school campuses, processing applications for admittance and enrolling in the specific courses. Coordinates with the high schools and UCO academic departments for specific courses and faculty information.

Serves as recruiter for traditional concurrent students, making admission decisions and supporting the students through the concurrent process.

Qualifications/Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in job related field or 4+ years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications/Experience Preferred

Experience working with faculty members and/or K-12 administrators. Excellent customer service.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledgeable in the higher education attainment process, particularly the requirements and general value of education. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Ability to spend a majority of the day on the computer. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Actively foster and maintain a climate that is supportive of students and demonstrates Student Affairs Standard of Care. Relate to diverse applicant/student population. Strong attention to detail. Strong decision-making and organizational skills.
