Summary of Position:

  • Be a Leader - Make a Difference - Take Ownership! Responsible for all on-site management and coordination of your project with respect to quality, schedule, safety and efficiency.
  • Document Review. Understanding of contract documents for project scope, schedule, phasing, temp. utilities, testing and inspections, etc.
  • Project Scheduling. Work with PM and key subcontractors/suppliers to develop CPM schedule for the project. Weekly monitoring of construction and submittal progress to identify impacts to the planned schedule; update and status schedule weekly.
  • Coordination Meetings. Hold weekly subcontractor Monday morning meetings to coordinate and review work planned for the week; distribute 3-week Look-Ahead Schedule. Hold “Pre-Installation” meetings with each subcontractor before starting each new trade/phase of work.
  • Quality Control. Inspect work for compliance with contract documents to ensure top rate workmanship. Arrange for professional testing and inspection services in accordance with the contract requirements. Provide documentation and notification of non-conforming work to the subcontractor, architect and owner.
  • Documentation. Prepare Daily Field Reports, Safety Meeting Minutes, deficiency lists, maintain as-builts, etc.
  • Safety. Ensure compliance to P&C Safety Standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Client Relations. Develop a solid, personal relationship with the Owner based on understanding & trust
  • Assist Project Manager. Daily communication with Project Manager to assist with review of submittals, schedule, inspections, sequence, manpower, problem solving, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of industry experience as a commercial GC/CM Superintendent.
  • OSHA 10 certified (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Project. Knowledge of Procore a plus.
  • Broad, thorough understanding of construction industry
  • Strong ability to read drawings and specifications; to interpret/coordinate intent; and to find/resolve conflicts in advance.
