Financial Analyst

We are actively seeking a Finance and Accounting Professional to become an integral part of our Finance & Accounting Consulting Practice at MMC Consulting. As an Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in client services, seamlessly integrating into our clients, teams and projects. Your main objective will be to deliver specialized finance and accounting support and tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients' organizations.

As an Analyst, your responsibilities will be related to financial statement review, processing, reconciliations, financial statements, and general accounting support. You will be supervised and mentored by an MMC Leader and with their support, you will serve clients in finance and operations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• BA/BS degree in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA preferred
• 4+ years of years of professional experience
• Prior firm experience working on projects/engagements preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred

Skills:

• Working knowledge of accounting software and systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced skills in excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Client Service Responsibilites:

Accounting Advisory:

• Assist clients in preparation of trial balances and financial statements (compiled and reviewed) including, but not limited to, reconciling cash, accounts payable, income and expense analysis, and accrued liabilities
• Assist clients with GL accounting and adjusting journal entries
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Provide support to client pre and/or post system implementation • Document client processes and make recommendations for improvement

FP&A & Corporate Finance Advisory:

• Generate Excel models, presentations, and reports for clients
• Analyze past and current client financial performance data
• Identify and define new process improvement opportunities

Firm Operations:

• Actively participate in the firm's training program
• Travel to client locations & MMC Office is required
