About the Role The Athletic is expanding its coverage of sports leadership and personal development. We are looking for an ambitious and resourceful journalist who has a passion for these topics and excels at telling unique and differentiating stories across multiple formats. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and have knowledge of sports leadership and personal development. This a remote job based in the United States or Canada. Responsibilities
- Write and produce content on leadership and personal development for multiple platforms
- Package our most insightful and engaging leadership adjacent content in a compelling way to reach wider audiences on multiple platforms
- Edit and write for multiple platforms, including LinkedIn, newsletters, audio and video
- Contribute to the creative process for new products, such as newsletters and audio/video concepts
- Distill longer pieces into digestible formats and explain complex topics
- Collaborate with the Creative Development and Commercial teams on new revenue opportunities outside of the daily report
- Maintain a strong voice that stands out from competitors
- 2+ years of editorial or production experience
- Strong writing skills that will translate to multi-media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to react quickly and authoritatively to news and developments
- Passion for the sports leadership and personal development space
- Experience in front of a microphone and on camera a plus
- This a remote job based in the United States or Canada
