The various tasks performed by Atlantic Shores’ Contracts & Procurement (C&P) Team demand detail-oriented individuals with multi-faceted skills, particularly in-depth commercial and technical knowledge, flexibility, enthusiasm for individual and team tasks, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
As a Contracts & Procurement Intern, an individual will work in a fast-paced team and will play a central role in supporting supply chain activities such as negotiation, sourcing, and purchasing needs of the entire Atlantic Shores portfolio , as well as engage in reporting and documentation activities. This is a hybrid role that will be based in our Brooklyn, NY office. Hybrid work requires at least 3 days a week on average onsite.
Responsibilities
This position will allow an intern to perform assignments that will develop professional working knowledge and abilities through involvement with a wide variety of C&P activities , all in support of designing and delivering on the Atlantic Shores’ offshore wind portfolio generally, or a specific project within same. As an intern, y ou will exercise limited, but increasing, judgment in performing your assigned duties using methods prescribed by your supervisor.
Typical Activities Of The C&P Intern
Support market intelligence development and monitoring for key supply chain areas
Support the automation initiatives of the contract and procurement department (design, implementation, training of third party solutions or development of powerBI inhouse solutions)
Support in commercial analysis and reporting activities
Working Conditions
Majority of time will be spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. A small amount of time may be spent on incidental, local travel to Atlantic Shores current and prospective worksites .
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience :
Currently enrolled in a four-year program within the study of supply chain/business or engineering degree at an accredited college or university
Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in the above field
Ability and willingness to travel to domestic project jobsites
Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication ; presentation skills developing
Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a collaborative and cooperative team player
