Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Senior Business Data Analyst/Product Analyst to join our dynamic team in the banking sector. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in data analysis, particularly within financial services, and who possesses a deep understanding of customer data, data warehousing, and analytics. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a Data Product Owner and excel in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as a Data Product Owner, overseeing the lifecycle of customer data products from conception to deployment.

* Conduct in-depth data analysis and profiling using advanced PL/SQL skills to gather insights and support business decisions.

* Lead independent workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of data-driven projects with high-quality outcomes.

* Engage in data modeling, visualization, and the integration of various data sources including regulatory and third-party data.

* Utilize Jira and other Agile tools to manage projects effectively, adhering to both waterfall and agile development practices.

* Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define user stories, prioritize data product features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

* Ensure compliance with data governance standards and contribute to the enhancement of data governance practices.

* Provide expertise in SQL for querying, testing, and validating data, focusing on business analytics rather than technical data engineering.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, with at least 4 years in the financial services or banking sector.

* Extensive experience with customer data analytics, data warehousing, and data governance.

* Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing tools.

* Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Collibra for data governance.

* Strong presentation, listening, and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

* A "data as a product" (DaaP) mentality, with the ability to see data projects as products that drive value.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to lead projects independently and make data-driven decisions.

* Experience in master data management (MDM) and integrating data from legacy institutions.

* Knowledge of regulatory data requirements within the banking sector.
