About the Role:

  • This role involves managing and negotiating vendor contracts for various commodities, including professional services, IT, and health operations. Responsibilities include drafting and approving various agreement types (MSA, BAA, SOW, NDA, SLA), advising departments on contractual rights and obligations, and ensuring compliance with legal and risk management standards.


Job Title: Procurement Contracts Specialist


Key Responsibilities:

  • Through communication and solid relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, this role will review, draft, and negotiate agreements with procurement vendors
  • Administer all activities related to vendor contracts for the purchase of professional and enterprise services commodities (facilities, consulting, travel, memberships/claims, HR/marketing), information technology commodities (software, hardware, telecom, security), and health operations commodities.
  • Agreement types include: master service agreements (MSA), business associate agreements (BAA), delegated services agreements, statements of work (SOW), nondisclosure agreements (NDA), service level agreements (SLA), software license agreements, and related third-party contracts. Drafts and approves amendments, terminations, contract summaries, and other contract-related tasks.
  • Reviews, interprets, and advises relevant departments of contractual rights and obligations. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, as they relate to legal, contractual, and risk management standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of contracting, procurement, and/or legal experience
  • General understanding of the sourcing and procurement processes with soliciting, awarding, and onboarding new and existing vendors
  • Advanced understanding of negotiating, redlining, and interpreting legal and commercial provisions


Location: Remote


Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $45,000 – $60,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.


Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Medical insurance, Dental insurance, Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, and 5 personal days accrued each calendar year. The Paid time off benefits meets the paid sick and safe time laws that pertain to the City/ State, 10-15 days of paid vacation time, 6 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per calendar year, Ascendion Learning Management System.
