Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly growing hospitality company based in Midtown, NY. The company is expanding its portfolio and seeking a skilled Controller to join their management team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of its portfolio of restaurants which will include: overseeing the monthly financial reporting package, lead the month-end close process, manage the general ledger, and supporting FP&A activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the monthly financial reporting package
• Lead the month-end close process and review the balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
• Perform detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts, identifying trends and variances
• Provide commentary on financial performance and explain findings
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Lead and mentor a small team of accounting staff, fostering a collaborative culture
• Lead the annual audit process, preparing all required documentation and liaising with external auditors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
