In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing all financial and fiscal management aspects of Desert Mountain Club Inc.’s operations. Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts of the company.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality/private club industry. Must have solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll. 7 plus years of supervisory experience in a complex multi-site environment, preferably in a hospitality organization. Experience with a company size with a range of $50-$200 million in annual revenue is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with no traffic violations within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities
Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting, tax planning, balance sheet management and conservation of assets.
Coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company. Direct and ensure current accounting/finance related solutions that involve software applications and related hardware for all administrative/operational functions through management of IT personnel.
Managing accounting staff.
Coordinate the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, departmental budgets, general ledger and account maintenance and data entry.
Coordinate and the preparation of all financial statements, financial reports, special analysis, and information reports. Present financial results to the Board of Director's and its committees.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting to effectively safeguard Club assets.
Develop and implement financial, accounting, billing, payroll batch processing and auditing procedures.
Analyze financial statements, prepare variance analysis, and identify risks.
Establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
Direct and ensure current accounting/finance related solutions that involve software applications and related hardware for all administrative/operational functions.
Monitors note receivable and accounts receivable collection efforts.
Identify opportunities for cost control and implement.
Facilitate annual operating budget process including preparation of capital budget.
Advise operating personnel on financial and business matters, internal control matters and organizational structure.
Coordinate internal, external, federal, state and city audits.
Monitor all banking activities and relationships of the organization and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization’s objectives. Approve cash disbursements for accounts payable and payroll.
Assist in business insurance plans and health care coverage renewal documents.
Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
