Summary:

Growing Augusta area healthcare service company is looking for an experienced Controller. As a key member of the company’s leadership team, the Controller will report to the owner and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The Controller will have primary day to day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, treasury management, risk management and high-level involvement with HR, IT, Fixed Assets, and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting function of the organization.
  • Board level reporting and business updates, while providing executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Ensure credibility of finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Provide recommendation to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  • Financial modelling for short-term and long-term growth.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place are ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Oversee marketing metrics and KPI’s to accurately track and monitor LTV, ROAS and other real time analytics for our acquisition channels.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new program/strategies and regulatory action.
  • Risk mitigation through identification of risk factor and planned response.
  • Oversight of Human Resource function including hiring processes, benefits, 401k, policies and procedures, compensation standards, annual reviews, etc.
  • Oversight of all legal practices including employment agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, corporate structure, and operating agreements.
  • Managing the accounting, including daily, weekly and monthly periodic closing responsibilities including analyzing the trial balance to perform any necessary adjustments and journal entries
  • Collaborates with ownership to analyze variances, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements in striving for improved results.
  • Manage the borrowing base for the bank relationships and company credit lines


Qualification and Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s highly desirable.
  • CPA or CMA highly desirable
  • 10+ years of overall experience, including 5-7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles

*Prior experience with a rapid growth company is a plus!
