The Controller is a key member of the Executive Management team and serves a strategic role in the overall management of the company. You will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, budgeting, credit, risk management, treasury services and financial compliance. Must be a CPA.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles;
Outstanding knowledge and understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance in the finance industry.
Ability to analyze complex financial matters and simplify them down into concise recommendations.
High level of business acumen – ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, KPI metrics and projections. Ability to turn analytics into actionable, short-term, and long-term solutions.

Ability to serve as a thought partner to the CEO; influence and drive key business decisions; ability to impact the company from a financial, strategic, and operational standpoint.
Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, and balance sheet based on past, present, and expected operations.
Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
Advises management on desirable operational adjustments.
Arranges for audits of company’s accounts.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Expertise in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in manufacturing.
Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Requirements
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages a staff of 2 employees in the Accounting Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; plus, five to ten years related experience and/or training.
Must be a CPA.

A proven track record of success that includes administrative management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired.

Manufacturing experience desired.
