Job Title: Controller

Department: Executive

Reports To: CEO

Location: Allentown, PA

Summary: OAA Orthopaedic Specialists, the preferred choice of the Lehigh Valley for comprehensive orthopaedic care for over forty years, is looking for a full-time Controller to manage, review, and analyze all financial activities for the Organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and direct all financial and fiscal operations for the organization to include:
    • Financial reporting
    • Financial analysis
    • Cash management
    • Budgeting
  • Oversee Accounting Department to include payroll
  • Responsible for compilation of monthly financial statements which include:
    • Corporate
    • Shareholder
    • Non-Shareholder physicians
  • Provide ancillary summaries and manage annual distributions to Shareholders
  • Responsible for cash flow projections
  • Act as 401(k) plan administrator
  • Participate in negotiation and management of employee benefit programs
  • Maintain positive banking relationships
  • Manage and negotiate Company insurance plans to include:
    • Worker’s Compensation
    • Executive and general liability
  • Assist with consolidation of Foundation financial data
  • Facilitate year-end audit and 401(k) compliance testing
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 5 plus years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application
  • Highly proficient in Excel and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience and understanding of medical billing and coding is beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
