Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure and financial reporting
Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information by structured and routine closing of the books
Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Generate financial statements and perform month-end variance and trend analysis
Review for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
Assist with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget process
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
CPA or Master is a plus
5+ years of professional accounting experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience working with a non-profit organization is preferred
