Job Title: Coordinator - Degree Conferral and Diploma - 999368 Location: Fort Lauderdale-Davie, Florida Work Type: Full Time with Full Benefits Job Category: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $18.00 per hour/ $35,100.00 annually Pay Basis:

Hourly

Subject to Grant Funding?: No Essential Job Functions: 1. Processes and uploads data for diploma printing and maintains quality

control with regards to diploma templates for college-specific formatting to ensure accurate student records.

  • Generates degree conferral reports, sorts and complies data to update to the Parchment system for digital diploma and diploma mailing
  • Provides graduation roster to the Board of Trustees for degree conferrals; prints diplomas, transcripts and alumni cards, and coordinates mailings to ensure quality of diplomas and its delivery.
  • Verifies and processes replacement diploma's requests to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies for diploma printing and mailing to ensure efficient operations.
  • Utilizes Banner student information system, Parchment, Diplomas on Demand and FedEx systems to conduct daily operations while maintaining database.
  • Maintains database used in daily processing to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assists with pre-commencement activities and commencement ceremonies.
  • Responds to inquiries from University Call Center Triage calls.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Marginal Job Functions: 1. Attends meetings and professional development workshops and conferences.

  • Assists with reports and special projects as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 1. Good written and verbal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Understands degree conferral and graduate requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge of job-related software programs, MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook; data entry skills; Internet research abilities.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures (e.g., filing, answering telephones, and supply/equipment ordering).
  • Ability to enter and verify information with accuracy and critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proactive, punctual and reliable.
  • May need to work evenings and weekends, if necessary.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time; meets assigned deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and email etiquette.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.
  • May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
  • May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils and computer keyboards.

Job Requirements: Required Certifications/Licensures: Required Education: Associate's Degree or 60 College credits Major (if required): Required Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of student services or related experience.

--OR--

Associate degree or 60 completed college credits and two (2) years of student services or related experience. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Associate degree or 60 completed college credits.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of student services work experience in higher education environment.
  • Prior work experience in higher education, preferably working in a registrar's office.
  • Experience working in Banner and other NSU software systems, and high-end printers. Is this a safety sensitive position? No Background Screening Required? Yes Pre-Employment Conditions:
