Do you want to help edit and create content that will be seen by millions of people every day?

Our client is seeking a detail-focused copy editor who can ensure all content on a new digital publication of adheres to brand and AP style guidelines. If you have a passion for aviation, travel and digital content as well, we’re looking for you. The digital content team is scaling up to support the editing of existing and new articles on their site. In this role, you will manage brand guidelines and AP style to efficiently proof, edit and fact check large volumes of customer-facing travel articles against tight deadlines. Articles should also be accessible and easily translatable across multiple languages.

Portfolio Note:

In order to be considered, candidates must have samples adhering to AP style, Editing content for print or digital publications and fact checking.

You Will:

• Proof and edit articles created by the team for grammar, spelling, brand standards, AP style and overall quality.
• Provide feedback in an efficient and effective manner
• Ensure that all customer-facing content conveys a personal, relatable and accessible tone.
• Work closely with a team of writers as we engage with photographers, videographers, designers, strategists, product managers, developers, CMS and brand partners.
  
  

You Have (Required):

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar
• 3+ years of professional experience writing or editing content for print or digital publications (5-8 years of work experience)
• Proficient in AP style
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview and writing assessment required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  
  

You Have (Preferred):

• Experience working with JIRA or similar project management tools
• Previous work with a big brand or large global enterprise a plus
• Experience working on large-scale publications
• Bilingual a huge plus, but not required
  
  

Logistics:

• Start Date/Duration: Starting ASAP for a 6-Month Contract
• Hours/Week: 40 Hours/Week
• Onsite/Offsite: Remote working roughly ET or CT hours (*Must be based in the US)
• Laptop/Software Requirements: Client-Provided Laptop & Software OR Working on your own Laptop & Software
• Background Check: Yes
• Drug Screen: Yes (5-Panel)
