Copyeditor

Compensation Range: $35 - 43 per hour

Cella has partnered with a philanthropic organization in their search for a Copyeditor to join their team for a contract to perm opportunity!

The Copyeditor will be the first read for articles, blogs and Op-eds. Oftentimes, these pieces are a bit messy structurally and could use some changes. The Copyeditor will not be the final eyes on the asset, as they will then go to a Managing Editor to make the final read. Candidates need to have a strong attention to detail and also be efficient with their time.

This is a fully onsite job, in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the first read of articles, blogs, and op-eds to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency.
• Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style.
• Collaborate with writers and editors to improve the overall quality of content.
• Ensure all content adheres to the company's style guide and editorial standards.
• Provide constructive feedback to writers to help them improve their writing skills.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
