Copywriter

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:

SOLV Energy is looking for someone with excellent writing and research skills to be our full-time, in-house Copywriter. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Copywriter will write and edit content for a variety of web, print and video projects. The Copywriter will conduct interviews with members of the SOLV Energy team, corporate or nonprofit partners and various project stakeholders to produce content including case studies, white papers, website and intranet copy, blog posts, op-eds, project profiles and employee bios.

Through your work, you will inform and engage key audiences on the benefits of utility-scale solar projects in communities across the U.S. and highlight our growing SOLV Energy team both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is interested in renewable energy and willing to learn about current policies and events impacting the solar industry. Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Research and understand SOLV Energy's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts and in-person meetings
• Brainstorm ideas, develop concepts and articulate messaging both independently and as part of a team
• Establish ongoing communication and regular check ins with department contacts and project teams to stay informed about newsworthy milestones and updates
• Together with Communications team, manage internal and external editorial calendar
• Drive brand consistency across all company communications
  
  

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• Two or more years of professional copywriting experience, with solid portfolio of work
• Comfortable working independently with little direction
• Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
• Experience working with content management systems
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of renewable energy industries and/or government affairs experience
