THE ROLE

We are looking for a Copywriter DTC to own digital copywriting for Kylie Cosmetics. Our ideal candidate will have extensive copywriting and editing skills with experience writing for a variety of digital platforms and channels.

As part of the DTC Ecommerce team, the ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with a very heavy promotional and product activation calendar. The Copywriter DTC will partner with the DTC digital managers and designers to support their copy needs, as well partnering with other cross-functional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be based in Los Angeles and is willing to work a hybrid schedule.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize, write, edit and proofread direct-to-consumer content, inclusive of product pages, landing pages, performance media ad units, email creatives, SMS creatives, short-form and long-form blogs, and more.
  • Apply SEO, SEM and/or DTC best practices to deliver optimized and engaging copy by platform, channel, and audience. Provide multiple variations for regular A/B testing, and leverage insights for next opportunity.
  • Deliver copy on time and in accordance with business needs. Address any copy changes quickly and efficiently.
  • Partner closely with DTC digital managers and designers on all creative briefs, attend daily calendar & project management meetings, and help conceptualize new marketing campaigns.
  • Strengthen and reinforce the brand voice at every touchpoint, work closely with the Brand Marketing team on refining as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an extremely thorough QA process checking for spelling, grammar, pricing and other inconsistencies.
  • Help set up new product in content management system in support of Merchandising team, making sure all product attributes are confirmed.
  • Provide ad-hoc project support to Ecommerce Director on product- and content-related projects.
  • Be well-versed in new beauty trends and competitor launches, as well as copy best practices in social mediums.EXPE

Experience, Skills & Competencies Rien

CE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIE

  • 4-6 years of experience in ecommerce copywriting, ideally for a direct-to-consumer beauty brand
  • High attention to detail – must have stellar proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience in writing copy for both performance and growth marketing channels
  • Proactive and action-oriented a must – ability to work on your own and take accountability for deadlines
  • Familiar with SEO & SEM best practices as it relates to copywriting
  • Certified in Google Ads and Facebook Ads a plus (willing to be certified if not)
  • Familiar with Shopify, Attentive and Klaviyo a plus
  • Strong appreciation of beauty sector and passion to work within the industry
  • Collaborative and a team player – comfortable with networking and developing strong working relationships
  • Positive attitude – thrives in an extremely fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and is very comfortable with ambiguity
  • Must be willing to work occasional nights/weekends/holidays to support promotional campaigns
  • Comfortable being part of a global team and working across multiple time zones as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, Journalism or related field
