Overview Of The Copywriter Role
The Copywriter will craft copy for our site and 360-degree cross-channel marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
Create engaging and persuasive email copy that resonates with the target audience
Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all email communications
Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure email campaigns align with overall marketing strategy
Write subject lines that grab attention and encourage email open rates
Monitor and analyze email performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to improve future campaigns
Write top-quality display copy for our site, ensuring voice and messaging are compelling and consistent across channels
Maintain copy cadence for SMS and App programs, aligning with larger marketing campaigns
Maintain the highest editorial standards for all copy and ensure that it conforms to the evolving brand voice
Work with leadership and design partners to concept content that reflect our brand expression and storytelling
Ensure timely delivery of content deliverables in our project management system
Work cross-functionally to ensure all brief objectives are met
Present copy at review meetings
Collaborate closely with graphic design partners
Criteria
Bachelor’s degree
1-3 years of writing experience on site and for email marketing, ideally for a retailer, agency or brand creative team
Experience working within a project management system or managing copy projects from ideation to execution
Ability to think conceptually, ensuring creative tone/voice support the brand voice and key objectives of the season—and are appropriate for all channels
Strong writing and editing skills
Proficient writing for both print and digital, and able to tailor copy to a given channel or placement
Self-starter, ability to stay focused in an extremely fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent organization and prioritization skills, ability to handle multiple projects across several seasons/packets/channels
Teamwork, project management skills, and creativity a must
Possess a creative, positive and flexible attitude
Experience or interest in home decor or design preferred
Ability to perform work onsite in the Brooklyn office
This role requires being onsite in the New York office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
