CORPORATE CONTROLLER

150 000 - 170 000 plus bonus

Our client, a leading environmental services company, is seeking a Corporate Controller to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a passion for environmental sustainability to join a company that is dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.

As the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. You will work closely with other departments to improve business processes and financial performance, and you will lead the annual audit process and manage auditor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, including monitoring cash flow and managing vendor relationships.
• Supervise the payroll process and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Manage tax compliance, including sales tax, property tax, and payroll tax.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Participate in the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve business processes and financial performance.
• Manage a team of 30+ with 4 manager direct reports.
• Lead the annual audit process and manage auditor relationships.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA certification (+)
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
