Job Title: Corporate Controller

Location: Redwood city, CA

Duration: Full Time - Permanent

Shift: 8 Hours a day 40 hours a week

Key Responsibilities:-

Financial Management:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and store-level leadership.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against the budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Coordinate and manage external audits.

Cash Flow Management:

• Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
• Manage banking relationships and negotiate financing options as required.

Strategic Planning:

• Provide strategic financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with senior management on business development and growth initiatives.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in the retail or grocery industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
