We are in search of talented and experienced individuals to join our team as Cosmetology Instructors. As a Cosmetology Instructor, you'll be integral in shaping the future of our students, guiding them towards success in their careers. Your role will involve delivering comprehensive cosmetology education and training, ensuring students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to excel. Through hands-on instruction and guidance, you'll inspire and motivate students to unleash their full potential.
Responsibilities
Teach both theoretical and practical aspects of cosmetology, covering hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup application, skincare, nail care, and related subjects.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum and industry standards.
Demonstrate and oversee hands-on techniques in both classroom and salon environments.
Provide personalized attention and assistance to students, addressing their individual needs and obstacles.
Evaluate student performance through practical exams, written assignments, and other assessment methods.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Stay abreast of industry trends, techniques, and regulations to ensure curriculum relevance and currency.
Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere conducive to student achievement and personal development.
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to refine teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the cosmetology industry.
Valid cosmetology license in the state of operation.
Current Instructor license.
Proficiency in hair, makeup, skincare, and nail care techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and industry peers.
Passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Patience, empathy, and adaptability to work with diverse student populations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for record-keeping purposes.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving curriculum needs and industry standards.
Prior Teaching Experience Preferred But Not Mandatory.
Basic computer proficiency.
Hours and Availability: Day and Evening Positions available, with partial work-from-home/remote options.
