River Rock Academy in Williamsport, PA is seeking a qualified Counselor to work with our students, their families, and outside agencies to help develop and implement student goals. The Counselor may provide group and individual counseling to students in our Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth (AEDY) program. One of the following credentials is needed for this position: Certified School Counselor, Certified School Psychologist, Certified School Social Worker or Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Certified/Licensed Therapist, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist.
Responsibilities
Conduct prescribed individual and group counseling sessions in a positive, therapeutic manner.
Develop and implement individual education plan (IEP) goals individualized to the student while developing and updating behavior/treatment plan.
Maintain student confidentiality per agency policy. FERPA/HIPAA privacy rule and regulation, and student/ counselor confidentiality.
Oversee therapeutic confidentiality between staff and students and make recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the relationship
Maintain daily logs with services provided in relationship to IEP guidelines and complete various reports as directed
Review daily logs with services provided in relationship to IEP guidelines and complete various reports as directed.
