- Be Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR)
- Produce a Record of Board Proceedings, of the administrative discharge board hearing
- Provide to the 173 FW/JA a copy of the Record of Board Proceedings
- Be available to make any needed corrections to the Record of Board Proceedings
