Curriculum Coordinator

(Manufacturing)

Days/Hours of Position: Full-time Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

Primary Purpose

The Curriculum Coordinator specializing in Manufacturing is responsible for implementing curriculum geared to the Inclusive Manufacturing Pilot Program. The Candidate will have a strong understanding of reading and visual instruction, behavioral interventions, and inclusion practices at an adult level. Experience working with a wide range of service providers and support staff to meet the needs of diverse learners is preferred.

The person in this position will be responsible for creating and developing curriculum for internship programs to secure employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and to promote the agency. This position will function according to the policies and procedures established by the CCARC Board of Directors, with the goal of maximizing the potential of the individuals in the program. Position requires case management, close collaboration with families and development of community-based opportunities for our population to meet transition goals documented within IP’s.

Essential Functions

  • Design Curriculum around internship placements, two distinct internships surrounding areas of opportunity both in Manufacturing and in the Arts 
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support manufacturing processes to promote careers with local manufacturers
  • Assist in the teaching of said curriculum to ensure successful implementation by the Direct Support Staff, Coordinators, Senior Staff
  • Cooperatively work with the appropriate CCARC staff to ensure the correct path for individuals within the internships available
  • Work cooperatively with all administrative and management staff in marketing the skills and services of the agency; ensuring that the services are represented accurately, and the individuals' job needs are met
  • Process and maintain neat and accurate records relevant to job placement procurement activities or any other work-related records. 
  • Conduct job development training for staff working in the businesses. 
  • Devise the Internship Programming
  • Maintain Model Fidelity
  • Work with Families to ensure person centered planning
  • Expand and maintain relationships with local manufacturers, high schools, technological schools, and community colleges to create career pathways
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage and motivate our population
  • Carry out teaching assignments effectively
  • To consult with staff, company managers, The Director of Business Development, and the Director of Employment as well as members of the entire team on a continuous basis
  • To carry out all facets of the position consistently and enthusiastically
  • Integration of diverse media and technology accommodating nontraditional learners
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Business Development and the Director of Employment Services to understand goals, needs and abilities of program participants in Employment and Transition services to ensure proper internship screening and selection

  • Ensure CCARC’s mission is understood and implemented
  • Adhere to the requirements outlined in the CCARC- Manufacturers Innovation Fund Agreement
  • Adhere to all of DDS’s and CCARC’s policies and procedures 
  • Ensure the provision of quality, person-centered services
  • Implement and monitor agency policies regarding employment services in conjunction with DDS
  • Be a role model for the company culture and foster a collaborative, teamwork environment
