Responsibilities

  • Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans.
  • Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.
  • Complies with all building procedures and schedules.
  • Prepares a written summary of work completed.
  • Makes the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
  • Implements effective pupil management procedures.
  • Maintains a positive learning environment.
  • Follows all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.

Daily building Building Substitute Teachers and all Per Diem Substitute Teachers are non-benefits eligible.

In addition, Per Diem Substitute Teachers are encouraged to apply as well.

Reports to: Building Principal

Salary

$135/Day - Retired Teacher w/ DESE Certification

$125/Day – DESE Teaching Certification

$100/Day – No Certification
