Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst for a large-scale modernization project. The Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) is going through a large-scale modernization of many of its core application systems. These applications and data are being consolidated and will be hosted as one application system in the Microsoft Azure cloud. The modernization effort (OnBoard) and the associated software delivery will occur incrementally. The OnBoard program roadmap will consist of multiple, discrete projects leading to the final, to-be WCB enterprise-wide software solution hosted in Azure, resulting in the sunsetting of all legacy systems.
Responsibilities
Identify all current data sources
Analyze data fields to be migrated, including mappings and transformations for data conversion
Identify future state business processes to support the migrated system.
Identify data quality metrics.
Document metadata and business rules related to data and transformations
Create test case materials
Mandatory Skills/ Qualifications
Must have between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Data Analyst.
Proficiency in data analysis and data mapping techniques.
Experience with data migration and transformation processes.
Ability to identify and define data quality metrics.
Desired Skills/ Qualifications
Proficiency in Sybase DBMS, SQLServer MI, T-SQL/ Stored Procedures and Informatica.
Strong documentation skills, particularly for metadata and business rules.
Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of business process modeling and analysis.
