Must Haves
6+ years of experience in Data Analysis
Strong SQL skills to create DDL (Data Definition Language) – able to test and learn the DDL
Understanding how to create data pipelines and jobs in Snowflake to curate the data as required for the report consumptions.
Problem Solver – knowing how to get from data to visualization (knowing how manipulation works to get to the visual output), how to create a solution that’s scalable
Very strong communication, proactive, detail oriented, curious
Ability to read/understand Alteryx (they store a lot in this)
Understanding of Snowflake SQL
Understanding of Power BI and Tableau
Create user stories, strong documentation skills
Day-2-Day
In this role, you’ll be helping to lead the development of the Workplace Investing data consumption layer strategy, as they migrate off Oracle to Snowflake.
You’ll be the liaison between Product and Engineering teams, and should have a strong appreciation for both sides as you are most involved in requirements and logic for the data table, understanding what consumers need to create visual output, help the data engineers and data modelers understand what needs to be done to get from data to visual output.
You should have an understanding of data modeling and creating dashboards, how to wrangle data to make visual tools, clean up data so it’s in analytics format.
Overall, we’re looking for someone who understands the why behind using tools / moving data, not someone who’s just transactional.
You’ll be taking existing data and transforming it to cleaner tables, influencing the final results.
You should understand what the consumer needs and what the data is, and help create the solution that is scalable and repeatable, while understanding the nicest format data should be in.
