Data Analyst

Description

We are in search of a Data Analyst to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This role primarily involves working within the data governance and quality team, where the selected candidate will be required to analyze and document datasets, develop data quality tools, and support various data governance initiatives. This position will be instrumental in making data-driven business decisions and improving our data quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document datasets, contributing to the creation of artifacts for the Data User Community
• Develop and maintain Data Quality dashboards and visualizations to monitor data quality and inform business decisions
• Collaborate with business users to identify critical data elements, establish data quality rules and thresholds, and define other business requirements
• Support the development and implementation of data governance tools in partnership with technology teams
• Conduct data profiling analysis from various sources and report findings to management to guide business decisions
• Establish baseline blueprints for key asset data quality metrics workflows
• Support project deliverables for Data Governance (DG) tools
• Contribute to presentations, documentation, feedback loops, and data record maintenance
• Develop data quality tools to support alignment with Data Analytics through the Data Catalog and other initiatives requiring data.
• Utilize your understanding of data classifications like technical non-technical data to work effectively across diverse groups and create quality connections with peers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data analysis and data warehousing
• Proficiency in creating dashboards and preparing datasets
• Ability to provide workstation support and handle business users
• Strong understanding of data analytics and data quality methods
• Advanced skills in Power BI and other data visualization tools
• Demonstrated ability in documentation, review, and presentations
• Knowledge of regulations and quality control in data handling
• Excellent skills in metric reporting and making data-driven business decisions
• Ability to work with partners and deliver high-quality deliverables
• Strong mathematical background
• Experience in engineering related to data analytics
• Ability to understand and translate business requirement documents
• Knowledge of Blueprint is a plus
• Capable of handling raw data and transforming it into actionable insights.
