As a data analyst you’ll be responsible for guiding business decisions through your business domain knowledge, data analysis and consulting that results in predicting outcomes, understanding complex data relationships, and developing a quantitative return on investment. As a part of a multidisciplinary team within the global business services organization, multiple business rely on collaboration and data visibility - you will use the power of data to enhance the customer experience; improve and accelerate decision making; and drive efficiencies. You will operate across customer and partner data segments in support of our global business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter & a self-solver who can think strategically about the needs of the business, build productive cross-functional relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, and possesses the skills to unlock rich, nuanced insights from complex data sources. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

As a Data Analyst, You Will

  • Extract data from various data sources with the proven ability to cleanse, aggregate and draw correlations to perform reporting and data analysis (Experience with large data sets needed)
  • Drive metrics development, KPI’s, data sets, and business reporting
  • Navigate ambiguous data requests with the proven ability to self-solve with limited direction
  • Create long-term analytic support vision through expert knowledge of data sets available & establish best practices; (Promotes and advocates for value of analytics and data)
  • Provide insights to additional data available to communicate future value to business teams
  • Create impactful visual representations of analytic insights and concise summaries of methodology geared to audience needs & present selected portions to stakeholders
  • Work cross-functionally with analytics and insights & tech teams to ensure data management & accessibility are in place
  • Be a Do-er with hands-on data analysis & reporting while maintaining long term strategy – drive AND consult on broader vision
  • Lead discussions& consult with business partners to define business challenges & solutions
  • Mentor new analysts in databases, tools, access, data prep techniques

We’d Love To Hear From People With

  • Experience in data analytics leveraging large data sets, merging of disparate data sources, and KPI reporting, 3-5 years
  • Minimum skills required: SQL, Excel expertise, Visualization tools – Tableau & PowerBI, Automation tools - Python, PowerAutomate, Alteryx
  • Project leadership in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong written & verbal communication
  • Education: BA/BS with concentration in quantitative discipline - Statistics, Math, Comp Science, Engineering, Econ, Quantitative Social Science or similar disciplines

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
